JoinedI was baptised in 1990 aged 28yrs and not raised a JW. I was a Christian before I was a JW and loved deepening my relationships with God and Jesus. This is what motivated me to take up a pioneer ministry and I loved it both in the UK and where the need was great in Ireland. Strange happenings early in my JW life meant keeping half a suspicious eye on their shannanigins. I decided to write my book to collate all my notes and copy correspondence with the WTBTS and highlight how bonkers the elders are and how easily they can flick a switch and the congregation 'shuns',... they just obey. I now keep both eyes on their activities and support others to make sense of the nonsense and move on. I am a psychotherapist and if I say so myself, a damn good one.
