Former True Believer, who finally saw the Watchtower Society for what it really is in 1999. Was a sincere, hard-working elder for over 25 years. Tried my best to do things the "right way" and give of myself, my resources and my time to others. But now see things in a new light. The Watchtower Society and Jehovah's Witnesses are not led by Jehovah God, they are not being "used" by him. Feel sorry for all the many friends I made in the "Organization" who don't want to listen to anything I have to say about why and how I changed my mind about the "truth". Walked away and haven't regretted it one bit. Although I joined this forum in 2001, I don't post much, but I read a lot of what's here. If you're new to this forum and questioning things about your beliefs as a Witness look around. Some stuff may rock you back a bit like it did me, but the fundamentals are here. Keep an open mind, asking yourself: "What would the organization have to do to convince me that they DON'T have God's blessing??" If you can even bring yourself to ask that question, you've made a start at really, really looking at your life and beliefs as a witness objectively.
