I was doing some "research" and came across Jw articles that all talk about 4026 B.C.E as Adams creation. It even went as far as to state, "There are no actual records of ancient man, his writing, agriculture, and other pursuits, extending into the past before 4026 B.C.E., the date of Adams creation. Since the Scriptures outline man’s history from the very creation of the first human pair, there can be no such thing as “prehistoric man.”

Did I miss something or have they been living under a rock? They are finding human fossils way older then that! Are they going to be forced to change that teaching soon as there is a ton of evidence of man being way older than 6000 years old?

Time and science are not on JW side, that's for sure! Messing up all of their plans.

Yes, they absolutely still believe that no human existed prior to 4026 BC.

They also believe that the entire earth was under saltwater for a whole year approximately 4400 years ago, and that every species of plant on earth spontaneously regenerated itself as soon as the water receded.

They ain't exactly the sharpest tools in the shed.

Aren't there full buildings still standing that are way older than that?

Have not seen that mentioned recently, but have not seen it retracted either.

I wonder if they're working on "new light" for that since they said that types and anti-types weren't mentioned much before it got changed.

"Archaeological studies currently show that Aboriginal people have been in Australia at least 60,000 years.

............The earliest bible stories may have only been in oral form, later becoming written in Aramaic and Hebrew possibly around 1700 B.C.. and read as though the time of creation was about 4,000 B.C.. However, since modern dating techniques have placed the earth’s age at about 3,600 million years, many people embracing those religions today still believe that God created mankind and the universe, but imagine this happening over a different time scale to that described in the bible. For all of us, the concept of a million years of humanity and thousands of millions of years of existence for our planet is beyond our comprehension."

Most JWS are not well educated, even the leaders of this religious institution.

How do JWS educate themselves ?  they do it by reading the ignorance within the Watchtower literature.

This was and is the main reason for my awakening. No Garden of Eden. No directly created homo sapiens pair 4000 years ago. No original sin. No "bruise you in the heel" kingdom covenant. No nothing.

They may as well build a belief system based on a flat earth.

What even as crazy is they believe Noah's flood happen about 2700 bce so that means the flood covered the great pyramid at giza. How crazy is that.
