    Because the magazines contain less material, translation teams will be able to make them available in more languages."

    er, what? If they weren't translating into a language before, didn't have the translators for Hopi, now they can round one up for 16 pages instead of 32?

    And the air disaster; wow, they are still reporting disasters this way, implying that the brother lived because he was at the meeting.

    For every one of those stories you can find one where a witness family was wiped out on the way home from the assembly/meeting/service.

    Cedars, you obviously have a strong stomach.

    There is a Facebook page entitled "Theocratic Ministry School". They posted the quote about the air disaster which killed 153 people but missed a WT family because they were at the meeting, so far it has recieved 500 "Likes" and 130 comments. Here are some example of the comments recieved so far:

    "Jehovah's hand is never 2 short 2 help and rescue HIS PPLE."

    "J ehovah's name be praised."

    "Jehovah is our refuge!"

    " Until i expire i'll neva stp attendin meetins"

    " The of jehovah is a strong tower."

    " I in Nigeria never heard of that.Thank Jehovah for his loving organisation."

    " The joy of JEHOVAH is our stronghold."

    " ...it so good to be inspired with such experience like dis."

    " The importanceof not forsaking our christain gatherings."

    " w@t a touching story!!!it sure pays 2 serve Jehovah wholesouled."

    " seving JEHOVAH is indeed the best way of life.attending meetings can be benefical"

    " Jehovah surely knows how to deliver his own..."

    " This show dat Jehovah deliver his people in a different ways."

    " Our meeting are surely protective"

    " We should not forsake our christian;s meeting for any reasons."

    " Jehovah will keep delivering his ppl"

    " This is truly a lesson in obedience. This family clearly understood Jehovah's instructions about not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together. This clearly served as a protection in more ways than just one!"

    " Jehovah really saves,cares...."

    " Stan firm (in the truth) and see the salvation of Jehovah"

    I read all the comments and not one mentioned the 153 dead ones or the horrible tragedy it was to their familys. None of them have the slightest ability to think logically. Do they not wonder at all why 20 witnesses died in a bus crash on the way to the assembly. Have they not heard how Whitney Hinchel was raped and murdered by a Jehovah's Witness in good standing? The examples can go on and on.

    This really does show how the BORG indoctrinates thier follower not to care about "worldy"people. No wonder all the true BORG are looking forward to armageddon. I see tragedies like what happend in the Newton school killings and I see the pictures of the innocent children that were killed and it bothers me. I do not and never have looked forward to a time when God takes the lives of billions of people. I think if someone does look forward to that they are sick in the head.

    Even though I attend less than 5 meetings a year I am still considered by my family to be in "good standing", non of my family shuns me and I would like to keep it that way. If I was not worried about that I would use my Facebook account to make some comments on that page that would force the idiot to use any existing brain cells to think about what they are saying.

    If you are officially "out" and have a Facebook account please leave a comment on that page. I am sure the moderators will immediately delete anything they see as "apostate" so the comments would have to be very subtle. You know, praise Jehovah but raise a question in the mind of anyone with half a brain cell. Also, some of the truly ignorant commenters could recieve a PM or a post on thier page to help them think more.

    Those FB comments look like they were written by a bunch of ding-dongs. Amazing.

    What a pity for Whitney heichel's killer that he admitted to looking at Child pornography.

    If he had only killed or molested her I wonder if he would still be in good standing. (After all there were not two witnesses who saw him do these)

    I found the whole GB letter curious and unsettling. It's like they're acknowledging that many JWs don't really want to be there (go get lost, then) but never mind because look at all the ones who, of their own volition and love, stay. It also struck me how the GB's assurances of love yet again rang hollow. They protesteth too much.

    Along with other posters, the plane crash experience really irritated me. The moral of the story is, again, God saved this couple because they were faithfully attending a meeting. Two JWs were faithfully attending a Bible education seminar and they got killed in a bus crash earlier this month in Miami. So what's the moral of this story?

    undercover posted more good quotes:

    Quote on page 176: "Jehovah's people were also optimistic but for different reasons. The Bible Students had long heralded 1914 as a pivotal year in human history, and their expectations ran high." Further down a couple of paragraphs: "What was in store for 1914? How would the 'Photo-Drama (of Creation) be received? What would happen in the fall, at the end of the Gentile Times? The Bible Students eagerly awaited the answers to these questions, confident of Jehovah's backing. ... The next year was to be one of great change for the Bible Students-and the entire world." End of article.

    The Bible Students of 1913 already had answers to 'what would happen in the fall at the end of the Gentile Times?' and 'what was in store for 1914?'.

    The 1911 edition of Studies in the Scriptures: The Time Is At Hand, p. 76-78 gave a seven-point list of what was to be expected in 1914:

    1. The Kingdom of God will obtain full, universal control and be firmly established on the ruins of present institutions;

    2. Earth's new Ruler, who will already have been present before that date, will overthrow the Gentile governments and dash them to pieces;

    3. Some time before 1914 ended, the last member of 'the body of Christ' will be glorified;

    4. Jerusalem will no longer be trodden down by the Gentiles but will rise to honor;

    5. Israel's spiritual blindness will be lifted;

    6. The great time of trouble will reach its culmination in world-wide anarchy and then mankind will recognize Jehovah is God;

    7. God's Kingdom will smite and crush the Gentile image of Dan. 2 and fully consume the power of kings, whether those powers are civil or ecclesiastical.
