What's wrong with the list of the branches at the back of the Yearbook?
I take it you're referring to "Selected offices of Jehovah's Witnesses"?
Firstly, they're "selected", so not necessarily a comprehensive list. Secondly, there is no indication of which offices are branch offices, and which are country offices.
I'm afraid on this occasion there is method to my madness.

Guyana bethel: there were just 8 members in bethel family; so reducing that branch is no big deal. Merged with Suriname?
Thanks for the heads up Weana, that's a small bethel family indeed!! It's nice to have a possible lead on Guyana's swift disappearance, after only being dedicated in 2003.

In case anyone missed it, I've put the 98 suspected branches on a Google map.

I will obviously try to keep the map updated as and when branches close or are "merged".
I intend to mark on the map the location of recently closed branches (such as Ireland, Norway, New Zealand etc) using black placemarks, but I'm too tired to do it now!

Is that only selected branches?
A similar video to this Mormon one might be interesting, showing first the increase in Watchtower branches, followed by the decline.
