Expansion of Wallkill to double in size - why? Warwick property?

Here is why it should be - JW Retirement Center for Ministers of the Full-Time Servant Order.

There is such a lack of care for retired CO, DO, Missionaries, Special Pioneers without real funds.

A Real Retirement Center with care provided and Hospital staff.

It will never happen, but if it did, what a change of heart by the GB for the beatup and thrown out full-timers who will never have to die in this old system! Instead of the local cong & circuits and wealthy bros taking care of them - headquarters would have it.

    Thoughts by others?

You really have to be kidding yourself if you think they have the slightest notion of doing anything for their rejected elderly full time people.

The only ones that get nursing care are the GB and maybe some high ups, the rest could die on the street for all they care.

No, they expect the family, often non or ex Jw to take care of elderly or sick ones who gave their life for the Corporation for no pay, and ended up with no money or home.

Cynical hard-hearted bastards is too polite a label for the GB and the faceless money men behind them.

    This would seem more likely:

    Annointed Pointe

An exclusive golf and country club for Governing Body members of the Jehovah's Witnesses faith.

I know - it was put out as a challenge and thought for many of the older ones entering their final years to consider. There is real resentment and bitterness from the group that pushed the theories of never having to die, not raising children, staying single, not re-marrying and giving your estate to WTBTS. With sale of Brooklyn bldgs, downsizing of mags, no subs, credit / debit card machines and other things - a fear of what's next?

GB.2 is here and watch out for what is in store!

There is no real "expansion." Two properties gets new buildings and the Brooklyn facilities lose more working/living spaces than the new ones gain.

It's a money thing, selling property that's been renovated by free labor and inflated in value while paying no taxes on it. The new rural properties are lower in value now and buildings can be built with more free labor. The members think they are working for God, the giant printing corporation gets a handsome profit. WIN-WIN.

Retirement Center? HA HA! You send those middle-aged Bethelites packing and let them be the burden of their families. They feel they did it for God. WIN-WIN, at least in WTS's rose-colored glasses.

It's a noble challenge, to be sure.

But this isn't the first generation to pass into old age, without retirement pensions, having skipped raising famililes, staying single, etc. From the early days to now, several generations (real time, not WT fantasy generations) have passed believing the same thing, expecting the same thing as the generation previous.

If the WTS didn't give a shit about those already gone, they're not gonna give a shit about those on the way out now.

And that is after they promised these people that they would never get old or have to face retirement - new system was all the social security they needed.
