Our youngest (26) just announced he's engaged. We love Monika and the two of them are perfect together. It just takes a bit of getting used to.
I must be old.
Congratulations on your soon to be extended family
You're not losing a son your gaining a daughter. G-babies will be along shortly, it's all good!
and yes, you are old.
How wonderful, these are the good parts about getting older! NMKA
yup, that's good part for sure.
That's awesome news....
Being old is subjective, I have grand babies however, my youngest is 4 months, had remarried and wife is 28, and younger than 4 of my children, work out daily with free weights and do the p90 x program. 6 days a week in addition to the weights. Feel 20 too so all is good here. My oldest is 40 and all my grand children are older than my youngest may be old in years but definitely young in actions and thoughts.
Yes. Yes you are. ** loads gun, prepares to put the old beast out of his misery **
Congratulations! A new chapter begins! Enjoy the journey
xo Jeff! I'm happy to hear that you like her,, that will make life much easier ... she is lucky to have you for a FIL.

Jeff, you are not old.
SSN, were you an elder?
Watson : no ms two times, never strived to be an elder
Thanks. We already have a grandaughter (oldest son't offspring) what has lived with us for most of her almost eight years. I hope more are of in the future, Alex and Monika are graduating in June and off to grad school in California, which is what led to the proposal. Both will be working on Master's degrees in something environmental. Alex seems to have the family math gene and is talking about statistical analysis. Monika has a thing about fungi, not quite sure what it is she plans on doing with them. (Besides cooking them, they are both remarkable cooks).
