Have an old friend from my teen years coming here for summer vacation. The last time we met up a couple of years ago it was all about coming back to the Truth, what a conversation stopper, we'll have to find a way to bridge that one.

DESIGNS- Yeah, I know about old friends. The only 2 old friends from my past youth I keep in touch with is a buddy I went to elementary school with and high school who never was a JW ( plays base guitar in a Beatles cover band ) - and another buddy I just talked to last night who I used to regular pioneer with in the early 1980's and he exited the Witnesses in 1991 . I no longer keep in touch with any active JW friends for the very reasons you stated in your post. They always have an angle or a reason to talk to us or see us and it's usually about getting us back into the JW organization. Good luck to you on bridging that gap with your friend !
