One thing that the WTS. has never admitted to in the any of their articles is how Pyramidology played

a major role in calculating dates and years involving 1914. The reason for this is it would attached the

organization with pagan idolatry. A big disingenuous black mark for sure.

Thats why so many people are totally shocking when they see and read C T Russell's earlier books and

magazines. The WTS. has purposely hid this away from modern JWS for a very good reason.

The WTS has always puts itself under pure and righteous light and they have taken control of

information and people who were to posibly try and take away that light .

In other words, say what we tell you to say and think what we tell you to think.

This where complacent mind control does its job and maintains the power and support within

    the organization.

Fear is the catalyst that the WTS uses and they use to its fullest to an extent of overwhelming

    a persons critical thinking ability.

You're right that the Society has never admitted how great of an influence the Pyramids had on early JW beliefs, but in a 2000 Watchtower they finally talked about the Pyramids and Russell more than they ever have before:

    The Watchtower, January 1st, 2000, Pages 9-10:

During some 40 years up until Christ’s heavenly rule began in 1914, the Bible Students had been freed from many of the non-Biblical doctrines of Christendom, such as infant baptism, immortality of the human soul, purgatory, hellfire torment, and a Trinitarian God. But it took additional time to purge all wrong ideas. For example, in the 1920’s many Bible Students wore a pin featuring a cross-and-crown emblem, and they celebrated Christmas and other pagan holidays. However, for worship to be pure, all vestiges of idolatry must be discarded. God’s Word, the Holy Bible, must be the sole basis of the Christian’s faith and way of life. (Isaiah 8:19, 20; Romans 15:4) It is wrong to add to God’s Word or to take anything away from it.—Deuteronomy 4:2; Revelation 22:18, 19.

16 One example will underline how important this principle is. In 1886 when C. T. Russell published a book that came to be called The Divine Plan of the Ages, this volume contained a chart linking the ages of mankind with the Great Pyramid of Egypt. It was thought that this memorial of Pharaoh Khufu was the pillar referred to at Isaiah 19:19, 20: “In that day there will prove to be an altar to Jehovah in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to Jehovah beside its boundary. And it must prove to be for a sign and for a witness to Jehovah of armies in the land of Egypt.” What relationship could the pyramid have with the Bible? Well, as an example, the length of certain passages in the Great Pyramid was said to indicate the time for the beginning of the “great tribulation” of Matthew 24:21, as it was then understood. Some Bible Students became engrossed with measuring different features of the pyramid to determine such matters as the day they would be going to heaven!

17 This so-called Bible in Stone was held in esteem for some decades, until the Watchtower issues of November 15 and December 1, 1928, made clear that Jehovah needed no stone monument built by pagan pharaohs and containing demonic signs of astrology to confirm the witness given in the Bible. Rather, Isaiah’s prophecy was seen to have a spiritual application. As at Revelation 11:8, “Egypt” is symbolic of Satan’s world. The “altar to Jehovah” reminds us of the acceptable sacrifices made by anointed Christians while they are temporary residents in this world. (Romans 12:1; Hebrews 13:15, 16) The pillar “beside [Egypt’s] boundary” points to the congregation of anointed Christians, which is “a pillar and support of the truth” and which stands as a witness in “Egypt,” the world that they are about to leave.—1 Timothy 3:15.

18 As the years pass, Jehovah continues to give us further clarification of truth, including a clearer understanding of his prophetic word. (Proverbs 4:18) In recent years, we have been encouraged to look again with deeper understanding at—among other things—the generation that will not pass away before the end comes, the parable of the sheep and the goats, the disgusting thing and when it will stand in a holy place, the new covenant, the transfiguration, and the temple vision of the book of Ezekiel. It may be difficult at times to understand such updated explanations, but the reasons for them become clear in due course. If a Christian does not fully understand a new explanation of a scripture, he does well humbly to echo the words of the prophet Micah: “I will show a waiting attitude for the God of my salvation.”—Micah 7:7.

Also, the Proclaimers Book (Page 200-201) in 1993 said this:

For some 35 years, Pastor Russell thought that the Great Pyramid of Gizeh was God’s stone witness, corroborating Biblical time periods. (Isa. 19:19) But Jehovah’s Witnesses have abandoned the idea that an Egyptian pyramid has anything to do with true worship. (See “Watchtower” issues of November 15 and December 1, 1928)

Incidently the memorial celebration was always at Conley's house up to 1892, J Russells house in 1893 and at the tabernacle thereafter.

That should have been 1882 and 1883 of course.

Some other information from the article

    Gravesite of Charles Taze Russell

Pittsburgher Charles Taze Russell, the founder of what is now known as the Jehovah's Witnesses, is buried in Rosemount United Cemetery, in the North Hills. Russell may be resting peacefully, but the controversies that marked his career have followed him to his grave.

Russell lies beneath a relatively simple headstone (shown in foreground), but nearby is a second, showier memorial: a four-sided pyramid, added eight years after his death, by the Watch Tower Bible & Tract Society, then the name of Russell's ministry and publishing house. The names of a few deceased believers are etched on each of its sides; one side is marked "Dead With Christ," and lists "Charles Russell Age 64" below.

To the casual observer, this is all very ordinary. But Russell was dogged by accusations of association with freemasonry and related occult activities. Hence, there has been continuing speculation, not least among the various breakaway factions of Russell's church, that the pyramid and its cross-and-crown motif -- all known Masonic symbols, ahem -- is all the proof needed.

Not an argument for me ... but what can we make of the building next door to the cemetery, the Greater Pittsburgh Masonic Center?

Titus....I am ashamed of you. How can you supposedly be a witness and not believe everything? This is not a cafeteria religion. You cannot pick and choose what you want. Either you believe totally and are one of Jehovah´s witnesses OR you are not. You can´t have it both ways. Since you do not believe in the 1914 prophecy then you really are not one of Jehovah´s witnesses so please stop claiming it...

    1914—A

    SignificantYearinBible

    Prophecy

DECADES in advance, Bible students proclaimed that there would be significant developments in 1914. What were these, and what evidence points to 1914 as such an important year?

As recorded at Luke 21:24, Jesus said: “Jerusalem will be trampled on by the nations, until the appointed times of the nations [“the times of the Gentiles,” KingJamesVersion] are fulfilled.” Jerusalem had been the capital city of the Jewish nation—the seat of rulership of the line of kings from the house of King David. (Psalm 48:1, 2) However, these kings were unique among national leaders. They sat on “Jehovah’s throne” as representatives of God himself. (1 Chronicles 29:23) Jerusalem was thus a symbol of Jehovah’s rulership.

How and when, though, did God’s rulership begin to be “trampled on by the nations”? This happened in 607 B.C.E. when Jerusalem was conquered by the Babylonians. “Jehovah’s throne” became vacant, and the line of kings who descended from David was interrupted. (2 Kings 25:1-26) Would this ‘trampling’ go on forever? No, for the prophecy of Ezekiel said regarding Jerusalem’s last king, Zedekiah: “Remove the turban, and lift off the crown. . . . It will certainly become no one’s until he comes who has the legal right, and I must give it to him.” (Ezekiel 21:26, 27) The one who has “the legal right” to the Davidic crown is Christ Jesus. (Luke 1:32, 33) So the ‘trampling’ would end when Jesus became King.

When would that grand event occur? Jesus showed that the Gentiles would rule for a fixed period of time. The account in Daniel chapter 4 holds the key to knowing how long that period would last. It relates a prophetic dream experienced by King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. He saw an immense tree that was chopped down. Its stump could not grow because it was banded with iron and copper. An angel declared: “Let seventimes pass over it.”—Daniel 4:10-16.

In the Bible, trees are sometimes used to represent rulership. (Ezekiel 17:22-24; 31:2-5) So the chopping down of the symbolic tree represents how God’s rulership, as expressed through the kings at Jerusalem, would be interrupted. However, the vision served notice that this ‘trampling of Jerusalem’ would be temporary—a period of “seven times.” How long a period is that?

Revelation 12:6, 14 indicates that three and a half times equal “a thousand two hundred and sixty days.” “Seven times” would therefore last twice as long, or 2,520 days. But the Gentile nations did not stop ‘trampling’ on God’s rulership a mere 2,520 days after Jerusalem’s fall. Evidently, then, this prophecy covers a much longer period of time. On the basis of Numbers 14:34 and Ezekiel 4:6, which speak of “a day for a year,” the “seven times” would cover 2,520 years.

The 2,520 years began in October 607 B.C.E., when Jerusalem fell to the Babylonians and the Davidic king was taken off his throne. The period ended in October 1914. At that time, “the appointed times of the nations” ended, and Jesus Christ was installed as God’s heavenly King.—Psalm 2:1-6; Daniel 7:13, 14.

Just as Jesus predicted, his “presence” as heavenly King has been marked by dramatic world developments—war, famine, earthquakes, pestilences. (Matthew 24:3-8; Luke 21:11) Such developments bear powerful testimony to the fact that 1914 indeed marked the birth of God’s heavenly Kingdom and the beginning of “the last days” of this present wicked system of things.—2 Timothy 3:1-5.

    [Footnote]

From October 607 B.C.E. to October 1 B.C.E. is 606 years. Since there is no zero year, from October 1 B.C.E. to October 1914 C.E. is 1,914 years. By adding 606 years and 1,914 years, we get 2,520 years. For information on Jerusalem’s fall in 607 B.C.E., see the article “Chronology” in InsightontheScriptures, published by Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Going beyond what is written in the bible are we BANE, what Scripture can you point to that states that

Jesus would give a calculable date to his Faithful Discrete Slave on his return also the bible did not say it would be

    an invisible return.

Deceiving asshole Watchtowerites made this date up to help spur the circulation of their publications,

in other words it was a commercialized venture by some blatant religious charlatans known as the WTS.

    publishing company.

The other maligning lie that the WTS. used was 1914 was derived by the bogus ideology known as

Pyramidology ( Pagan Idolatry ) postulated by C T Russell himself.

Idiot JWS today know nothing about this because the WTS has hidden it well for many decades.

Bullshit sells as we all know and people like BANE eat it up with assured confidence.
