I remember once at the Jersey City Assembly Hall, a brother had a heart attack and died; the Circuit Overseer was on the platform at the time, and berated whoever it was that was creating the ruckus that interfered with his talk!

Woot! Jersey City Assembly Hall! I loved my assemblies there. Although I was not there for the experience you mentioned.

Good job, Brother, for not referring to it as "Stanley Theater" which was all my family ever called it. lol.

... then there was another incident at a Kingdom Hall shown on the local PBS station as part of a program on the travails of being a paramedic. One paramedic interviewed recounted how she and her team were summoned to a KH to help a person with a heart attack, and had to deal with JWs foisting literature on them and trying to "witness" while they were doing CPR! I kid you not.....

    I love this thread.

1.We had someone take a shot with a pistol at the front door of the KH once from a car passing by while no one was there but the bullet went past the literature counter and across the B school into a picture and the wall. It was cool being a kid we would put our fingers in the bullet hole.

    2. We had a crazy guy that would occasionally come in late sit in the back. Then he would get on his knees and turn around are start pulling crosses and stuff out of a bag and praying real loud.

That's all I got, I am sure there is more but I blocked it out when I left.... LOL

Must have a been a big bullet.

At my Kingdom Hall long ago, someone was shooting a gun at an alley that approached our Hall. I saw the police take the person away and I thought it was a young woman but the elder giving me a ride said it was a man. He peeked at his open shirt.

At another congregation an evangelical that I knew from field service was attending the meeting. Every time he heard something that he liked he would blurt out "amen", "praise the Lord". It wasn't even too loud but you could hear it all the way to the back of the Hall. The brothers spoke to him once, apparently warning him not to do that. He appeared confused and soon started his amens again (apparently that's what they do in his church). He was escorted out by the brothers looking very perplexed.

At the CA we where at covenry I think...

I remember seeing a man, very upset about something... I knew he was upto no good!

Well, he started running across the pitch and yelling about 'bastads' and lowsy something or other...

He got tackled by about 5 or 6 brothers and that was quite funny...

At an other assembly some young houdlum attendies where throwing mints at the others, they where soon stopped though...

1970 I am 5 years old and my brother is 7. We are sitting in the very front row while my mother is in the mother's room with my newborn baby brother and my father is on stage conducting the Watchtower Study. Derek and I are having the time of our lives with no adults supervising us. My father stops the Watchtower study and in the microphone tells us both to get in the back room with our mother so we can be properly disciplined.
