Recently heard a commnent from an elder that the NWT was the most accurate bible translation. That even on the jeopardy game show it was shown or that one of the questions pertained to the bible and the NWT being the most accurate translation. I find this exceedingly hard to swallow as it is full of errors 237 I can think of right off the bat. Any one else heard this or if fact saw the Jeopardy show???

Thought you would find this very interesting. Recently on Jeopardy one of the questions was....."What is the most accurate translation of the Holy Scriptures?" No one got the correct answer, so Alex Trebek said "New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures, printed by Watchtower Bible Tract Society."
The research was from the book: "TRUTH IN TRANSLATION: ACCURACY AND BIAS IN ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS OF THE NEW TESTAMENT"
Author: Jason David BeDuhn is the Associate Professor of Religious Studies at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. He holds a B.A. in Religious Studies from the University of Illinois, an M.T.S. in New Testament and Christian Origins form Harvard Divinity School, and a Ph.D. in Comparative Study of Religions form Indiana University, Bloomington.

If he really really thought that NWT was the most accurate Bible and he believes the Bible is the Word of God, why isn't he a JW?

I prefer the Living Bible but the NWT is a good translation, only those that hate the JW will say it is crap, NW is a good translation.

only those that hate the JW will say it is crap, NW is a good translation.--- No fresia, only those that require one to actually know the bibical languages to translate and insist that men not insert and change the bible to fit their doctrine call it crap. I for one call in crap and that's being nice about it.
