Cool - you got to "learn obedience by the things suffered"!
Heartless b*st*rds!
ross the irony was i was quite prepared to learn obedience through suffering
ended up learning rebellion through cruelty
did you get my song btw
Subtitled : WTS Heartless Concern Form Letter
or,
How to show you give a shit in 100 words or less!
I find it incredible that they took so little effort to acknowledge the significant points of your letter. The GB never saw it.
Jeff
Tijkmos, you wrote a great heartfelt letter and deserved a decent response. You didn't get a decent response. It just goes to show how narrow minded the shepherds have become. It's my guess that whoever did read your letter was more worried about these ideas spreading than whether or not they may be good enough to eventually recommend.
Good job.
listener...at the time i thought it was a decent response...and then i got to thinking that really it was no more than a brush-off...a pat on the head for a small boy...and i can imagine in some branch they have a good laugh about it rather as some elders did when discussing who to recommend for elder or ms...if the brothers reaching out in all sincerity only knew
and when i wrote it i thought well if just one person doesnt have to go through what i did then it would be worth it...and then i thought why if the holy spirit is directing these things would it need me to tell them
and then i found here (jwd)...and realised that it is happening all the time and plenty of people have sent suggestions similar to the gb so it is not as if they dont know
so i thought i would discuss it with as many elders as i could so that if they were on a jc they could show more fellow feeling...
...and one of those elders who had seen what they had done to me was on a recent jc...they df-ed this young guy...and when he applied for reinstatement they said yes...but because it was the circuit visit they would not announce it till the week after..but he could discreetly tell his folks and his girlfriend and some close friends...which he did..and he started to make wedding arrangements...and then after the c.o s visit they told him they had changed their minds...6 months on he is still not reinstated...
so it really doesnt matter..they will do as they please anyway regardless of what they are instructed..what is biblical organizational or humane..or what someone elses experience has been
tijkmo of the you know who you are you know what you did class
