Ok, my parents have pissed me off so much with their denial and their refusal to even acknowledge my complaints against the borg.  They pretend everything is perfect at the Kingdom Hall and expect me to play nice to their dub friends so as to protect their own reputation.  This weekend in Philadelphia, they are going to to their little convention and I have some evil thoughts.  Everyone from my old KH will be there along with my parents and I'm thinking it may be time to crash the party.

So, anyone here ever picket a convention?  How close can I get, what should I put on my picket sign, where can I get one of those bull horns, anyone want to join me?  I'm thinking about driving down this Friday early morning and having some fun.  Another funny thing is that the convention is a some rinky dink convention hall on or near Temple University and is Thur.-Sat not Fri.-Sun.  My dad doesn't work during the summer but I can only imagine the typical dub having to take off an extra day of work just to attend.  Anyways, I'll let everyone know if I decide to go and if I do, I will take plenty of pictures on my digital camera.

You can borrow my billboard, or convert it into a placard , or use it as one of those folding sun visors people put in their windshields to keep the sun out!

Don't forget, I heard the venue changed the dates this year at this convention.  It runs Thursday - Saturday.

If your doing it to make a difference and for yourself..I'd say go for it.

If it's to punish your parents....well...that's still up to you but punishing someone never makes you feel better, forgiving does.

You shouldn't contract the term "Watchtower" as "WT" because except for our cirlce, nobody knows what "WT" stands for.

I have to agree that you may be doing more damage than good. You do need the healing. Perhaps a letter with exactly what you feel, written to your parents, would give you the same sense of self satisfaction.

Remember, when witnesses see or feel things which are against their faith, they feel it's from the devil, giving them an even stronger feeling that they alone are God's people. The borg really has it set up well.

My question is, do you not have self-esteem?  Why do you want to be seen as a crazy moron?  When they see you standing there like a fool, holding a sign, every single Witness will think you have a couple of screws loose.  Sadly, they might actually be right in there assessment.   What a dishonor for your parents and yourself.

 

 

I say go for it. It's fun. The idea is not so much to actually help the dubs (I'm convinced only God can do that) as it is to get out and make your stand.

Shout. Raise a ruckus. Make your parents pay!

Plus it sounds like it'll tick off Troll O Joober, and that's always a worthwhile thing. God smiles upon your campaign, young one, go forth and strike a blow for truth!
