The elders are being pressured big time to call on the inactive ones. Some congregations had the habit of not even including the inactive cards in the publishers record card box for the CO visit. The last CO chewed out all the elder bodies that did that and demanded that the cards be put back. Evidently, the secretary thought it made the congregation record look better if the inactives were ignored statistically.Next week's WT study article is hammering the lost sheep out of 100 and the lost coin out of ten, saying the elders and the rest of the congregation should value these. Talk, talk, talk, that is all it is, TALK. Even the elders calling on you, Jourles, are just going through the motions so the stats they turn in look good. Just the appearance of righteousness but not heartfelt. If someone were to hand me a photocopied list of scriptures, I would hand it back. If they wouldn't take it, then it should rip it up and say that Jesus would never hand someone a photocopied list of scriptures. It is like someone inviting you for dinner and handing you a frozen TV dinner.Well, Jourles, do what you need to do. We came home and found March's KMs shoved under the door. We missed an unannounced visit by some elder(s) even though I have requested that they call first. But I am just a lowly sister with an attitude.Blondie
