	I am using this forum as a way to train myself to be more concise in my writing.  From the length of this post, however, it looks like I am fighting a losing battle.    Apart from the fact that people often act poorly in public, what can you expect of a group of people who are repressed as a matter of policy while being taught they are better than anyone else?  They take it out on their inferiors.   I have worked as a waiter.  I made good tips averaging about $100 a night before the IRS started taxing tips.  I figured out early that, as a waiter, I was making more than many of my customers..  I was good at my job.  I took pride in offering a service   I was never so poorly treated as I was by people who could only afford to eat out about once a year due to their lack of income.  While some were really nice people, many were of the attitude that, You are here to SERVE ME, dammit!  And that is exactly what you WILL do.  (This is almost verbatim from a dried-up little old Scotsman.  Wish I had rung his red neck at the time.  But, he was a CUSTOMER!  Had to take it or lose my only income.  He was a regular).  This coupled with the ever-present mother-in-law (who they had to bring along) who knew exactly how to deal with The Help.   Please forgive me for what I am about to say.  But, the scathing comments and the scorn and the ill-mannered adults and children taught me a lot about the meaning of the term white trash.  Suffice to say that it wasnt just white people who were abusive either.   Before it comes up let me say I took pride (very un-brother-like) in my job.   I liked what I did and welcomed each guest.  But can you imagine the burning hatred coming from some ill-mannered lout (or loutesse) whose sole entertainment was to degrade and humiliate someone who was beneath them?   I see the same thing from the witnesses.  They are abused and ridiculed in their own house by men who tie up huge burdens and strap them on the backs of their people.  When these people unburden, that is when they have the opportunity to let loose in another city, in a hotel, do you wonder why they act so poorly?   Many things said in the KM are reasonable.  If for no other purpose than to lighten the loads on the people who have to serve the vacationing witnesses.   I dont think that all witnesses are low-class for lack of a better term.  Many are well educated and extremely bright.  But lets face it.  In any group of 100 people, 50% are going to be below average (is my math right?)   These people are victims, for the most part, who are away from home and therefore exempt from the rules of civil (Christian?) conduct and just want to do unto others what has been done unto them.   These are simply my observations as a white trash beaner from south of the border who has wide experience with people.   Marcos
