Quite right about the JW's use and abuse of the ellipsis (...). Fair minded, ethical, honorable writers use the ellipsis to omit a small amount of information that is redundant, not germane to the point, or for other reasons NOT having to do with changing the meaning of an entire quotation.
JWs use the ellipsis to do just the opposite; they use it to delete information that does not comport with their point of view, or with their so-called "theology," they have been known to use the ellipsis to delete entire PAGES of information, and to change the meaning of a statement, section, or entire chapter of a book. Thus the JW use of the ellipsis can fairly and accurately be characterized as dishonorable, unethical, and immoral. If a college professor, in writing a thesis for his Ph.D., were to be found using the ellipsis as do the JWs, his thesis would not be accepted and his future as an academic would come to a sudden end.
Isn't it strange how JWs, this group who claims to reverence truth, seems always to be avoiding it whenever possible?
I can hardly wait to witness the JW house of cards come tumbling down. I hope I live long enough to see that day.
