Lee Elder	Serious discussion of blood doctrine
	The January 6, 2001 issue of the British Medical Journal published an article detailing recent changes in the Watchtower Society's blood policy. The article has led to a lively and fascinating discussion of the blood doctrine by many Jehovah's Witnesses including elders, H.L.C. members, physicians and academics. Most witnesses will find that these discussions touch on aspects of the policy that they have not previously considered, especially from the standpoint of bioethics.
