Well ... it may as well say that. This was a bi-fold leaflet given out at the UK District Conventions (and ONLY available at the DC). I guess the throw-away size stuff is handier to ... well, throw away).

howcome they don't use the word "profession" anyway? i'll tell you why. because it's easier to discount " a job" than it is to discount "a profession". like:

scientist, surgeon, enginneer, pediatrician, artist, writer, musician, forensic pathologist, jet pilot, teacher, oceanographer, nurse, ambassador, prosecuting attorney, child advocate, astronomer...the possibilties are all endless and exciting and rewarding. notice the wording it's almost as if they are saying "now good little witnesses do what we expect of them, or else...  what putzes!

So, as of this edition of the WT (I am guessing) they are again telling people to not get education.

This is incredible.  Next thing they will be saying that reading the publications is the same as a college diploma!

What a waste those years in school were.  I really wish I could have pioneered!  Then I would feel true happiness.

Simply incredible how such noble investigations/goals are spin-controlled toward being a JW. Simply incredible that I swallowed the same pablum for most of my life. Simply incredible that so many are escaping this mind control.

Two questions:

1) Regarding "Printed in Britain" at the end - I know that United Kingdom is all of the territories, but can someone (again) explain the difference between England and Britain? I thought it was Great Britain?

2) Does the London office have their own approval process for literature, or would this have had to been "blessed" by the Brooklyn headquarters?

 

I don't think there is a country called 'Britain' ... Great Britain, yes, but not 'Britain' (although I could be wrong, lol)
