How Many JW Pedophiles In USA?

  I had a conversation today with a person from New York who has had close contacts with inside contacts at bethel. A comment was volunteered to him that I found amazing if it provees to be true. The comment was about how many accused child molesters are on file at WT legal. With all the numbers flying about the Catholic Church I think most will find this number to be quiet sobering. The brother stated that the WT has over 20,000 alleged child molsters on file as of the fall of last year. If that is not bad enough the statement followed that most of these had never been reported to the authorities.

  Well, is this true? I encourage WT to respond and set the numbers right. If they choose not to respond then the reader can form their own conclusions as to what that shows. Many times I have been asked a estimate or number, yet this number is far more than conservative numbers that we have figured. If a conservative figure of 70 is given for the actual number a pedophile will molest in his or her lifetime then you could have a figure involving hundreds of thousands of children that have been or will be molested by WT policy.

  Do you think the growth of JW pedophiles will overtake the increase in publishers?

  Personally, I am a person of limited contact with JWs, even when I was a JW. Yet I know of at least five molesters/statuatory rapists. (One case of Stat rape). I was horrified to learn of all of the sickos in the org when I was a dub, but I guess it's pretty common. 20,000 out of 1,000,000 would be about 2 out of every 100 people....might be a bit high, but perhaps true in some halls. I know of one hall that had three molesters in it. Some only had one...some, none.

  O’Reilly on Fox news this evening criticized the Pope for not speaking out about this issue in the Catholic Church. O’Reilly went on to say that there are 60 million Catholics in the USA, so potentially it would seem there are 60 times as many pedophiles in that church than in the JWs.

  Does this large difference in church size partially explain the much greater publicity given to the Catholic problem?

  A guest on O’Reilly’s show representing the Catholic church said that the Pope has spoken out, that he feels much pain over the issue. Of course, even if he did speak out sometime ago, he is not taking aggressive action. Nevertheless, he has done more than the GB has done, namely nothing.

  Hi Bill,

  I've been reading the BOE letters and Brown and Marino's press releases over on Silentlambs, as I am writing an article and will post it in a day or so.

  One thing I read was that they sent out special blue envelopes to all congregations, and the elders were to prepare a list called Child Protection-Psalm 127:3". The list should have six columns headed "Name of Individual", "Identity of Victims or Alleged Victims", "Date", "Elders Handling Matter", "Court Action" and "Congregation Action". This list should be formed even if there are no cases of child abuse currently in your files. In this way it will be available for future use if necessary. The "Child Protection" list should be kept safely in a secure place. I guess they are preparing for a big increase. lol

  Do you think they would go to all this trouble just for a small amount of cases? There could be 20000 cases, but it sure would be nice if some verification would come along to back it up.

  Their desire to keep the lid on is so desperate and would explain a lot of things. There have been so hot postings this evening on JWs and Scientology in Oregon where two mass killings which on the surface appear to be suicides have recently occurred, and other apparent suicides have happened in Oregon in the past few decades. Men who rape children can do desperate things.

  Well then, Mr. aShitaka, just WHY didn't YOU do your civic duty and report to the Police what you KNEW about? You did say that you knew such things for a fact, didn't you?

  Are you aware of the fact that for you to actually have knowledge of such crimes taking place, and yet purposely not inform the proper authorities about them that you are as blameworthy as the criminal performing such crimes? Perhaps even worse, since you covered for those whom you KNEW were molesting children.

  I'm wondering, now that ashitaka has admitted in front of everyone here to having knowledge of several crimes involving molestation, if you are concerned about that? What do you intend to do about it, if anything? Will you report him to the proper authorities, since he has covered up those crimes by reason of failing to report them himself? Do you intend to inform Dateline about him, so that they might include this in their report when the big "show" airs?

  Why not get 'em ALL while you're at it, eh?
