HOMEROVAH- Yes, I agree the oil companies do have everyone by the balls and it is time to get an alternative fuel source. If only someone can do it without the oil companies butting in and hindering the process ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

In what sense Flipper or golf2 ?

As for myself I'm thinking of an economic down turn for North America

HOMEROVAH- I think that the gas prices might go as high as $ 10.00 per gallon in the U.S. by next year if not before ! And the economy is going to hell in a hand basket quicker than you can say " recession to depression " fast 3 times in a row. The real estate market is dead, food prices going up because the truckers have to charge more to deliver to supermarkets, everything id intertwined here , when one huge commodity like the price of gas goes ape -$hit, it causes a domino effect on the rest of the economy

Thats true flipper , things are getting bad up here as well, the price of gas has gone up to $5.40 a gal. to day and will be going up to

$5.60 a gal. July 1st. when a new eco. tax gets implemented

I think I smell a recession in the future

HOMEROVAH- I agree with you - although in the states here I think we are already in a recession- I think I smell a depression coming . Wouldn't that just be a drag

One problem that does come to mind with the gas situation to me at least both heads of states of are countries are closely supported and are involved with the oil

industry , you have Bush of course and we have Harper who was financially supported to get into office by rich oil tycoons in Alberta.

And the Province from where Harper is from is a big oil producer.

These guys obviously aren't going to step on the toes of the people that helped them to get into power.

HOMEROVAH- Yes, it will be interesting to see what both heads of state do - but on the flip side of the coin I think they have their hidden agendas - to keep the poor being poor, but make the wealthy more rich
