Jehovah's Witnesses avoid making rules and regulations beyond those provided in the Scriptures
, and they do not follow traditions that contradict Bible teachings. Emphasis is placed on personal application of Bible principles and the value of a sound, Bible-based conscienceMany would dispute that. If you are one who has been a member of a JW congregation, how many "rules and regulations" that go "beyond those provided in the Scriptures" can you think of?Let me start:1. Requiring a member to go before a judicial committee.2. "Restrictions" placed on members adjudged to be repentant sinners, or on re-instated members.3. Prohibition on smoking tobacco.4. Attempting to 'split hairs' over what is/is not allowed with blood.5. Loyalty to an organisation and acceptance of a ruling body termed a "faithful and discreet slave."6. (Space for your entry)etc etc
