Alright this board seriously needs an update. I can't use Opera or my mobile browser because this place only accepts IE. It's 2008 and well less and less people use IE. I use Firefox (as well as millions of others) as my back up browser and it has issues with this site (word editor won't appear, format is skewed, etc...). So what is the word on getting a update? Hell I am sure we could set up a pay pal account to pay for the upgrade with the forum. If people are willing to give fake cancer patients thousands of dollars they should be able to give a couple of bucks for this forum. I know Simon you don't have much time, but could it be time to hand the reigns over to someone else or at least have someone else you trust organize the means to upgrade this forum. I use forums for work almost every, this is seriously the most outdated one I use. OK bitching session is over.

I use Opera and it works fine. I'm using version 9.24.

If you use Firefox, get the IE Tab. It's the only way to cope.

Well Opera works...but not in the way it should. I used Firefox with the IE extension but that gets glitchy on me too. I definitely prefer Opera over all the other browers, but I understand that not many users on here use Opera so it was more just a segue in to upgrades.

I think they are working seriously on this issue. Now, if they would have planned outages for this purpose, so posters would know to expect a period of instability, instead of random outages and instability--or, perhaps the server is seriously slipping... I usually look at the announcements for this, and yes Simon is working on upgrading the software. At last use, it finally allowed large fonts on IE7 (before, the large fonts would only work on IE6). And then the site crashed and stayed offline for the balance of the morning...
