OK I searched and found the reason Animated Gif's were disabled on our profile Avatars was because it took to long to load for those with slow connections. Well it's 2007 and how many people still have dial up? I mean really? It's not that I am pro animated GIF's but I am sure others would at least want the option to load one. So who is with me?

Animated GIFs are irritating. On every forum I read where there are animated GIF avatars or worse, animated .sigs, I end up pressing "stop" to avoid the irritating distraction. Find a better means of self-expression. | ||

It's only annoying if like 400 people have them. I'm not sure there would be enough people on here for it to be that annoying. I just think we should at least have the option. | ||

It would be nice, but not at the expense of having the forum bog down or start having clockwork-like outages again. And there are still those with slow Internet connections, whether dial-up, satellite, or slow DSL speeds. | ||
