Just an update: The mail service on the new server wasn't set to auto-start so after one of the reboots it was no longer running ...
... which is why requesting your password wouldn't work.
Please try it again now if you have had this problem.
Note that you must use the email address used when you registered otherwise you will get a blank email (something else I need to fix!)
