	Hi Mary, welcome. Personally I do not wonder if "it's all winding down" to Armageddon, when I realized the WTS was full of crap the first belief to go was the one about 6 billion people being slaughtered any day now because they didn't agree with me. The End has been "imminent" since Russell first picked up a Bible. Life has gone on for several billion years thus far and I have a feeling it won't stop for at least another few decades or so. ;-) Yes USA is in the crapper but keep in mind that humans got along for a friggin' long time before the USA was ever a twinkle in Washington's eye. There is no guarantee it'll be around for our kids but that's what happens, empires rise and fall, religions are created and die out, life goes on.
