Your great-aunt Brittney died Tuesday morning she was found on her kitchen floor dead. Her funeral was this morning.
OMG .. My mother just sent me this email. It was the only aunt I had that wasn't a freaking JW. I have tried to contact her but her contact info wouldn't work that I had. I tried to ask family for her number but they wouldn't give it to me (or ignored me rather). I was going to try to contact her so I could have someone to talk to and she freaking died.
And why the hell couldn't they tell me TUESDAY so I could have gone to the funeral or something??! I get this Friday AFTERNOON so I couldn't go ...
So here's a reply after I asked why she didn't tell me sooner:
I couldn’t take a chance on you showing up and the family would wonder how you found out. They would point to me some has already made the commit if they knew I was e-mailing you they would have a decision to make. So think about it.
So here's my reply:
My Aunt who is NOT a JW died, mother. You could have had someone call me and tell me .. and it was after all an emergency. I do have a right to know when my family dies. This is the only person I had in our family who might have talked to me. I have tried over and over to contact her and I couldn't. Her number was disconnected. I even looked up Greg and tried to call him but they were never home.
Why do you let some men tell you what to do like this? They are just trying to control you mother. Why couldn't you ask Dad if he could get an elder to call me or something? She wasn't even a JW!!!! That's what makes me so mad!! This in no way was something I didn't have a right to know.
Lord only knows what she'll say to this.
