"my burden is light"Jws are asked to watch their children die rather than have a transfusion, and more commonly, shun them and speak to them no more. Are these burdens light? Can even the thickest jws shrug those burdens off as if they were nothing?

Are you saying that the elders have asked you to shun your disfellowshipped children?or does one of your kids need a tranfusion and you (as a parent) are being told to comply with their rules of no blood transfusions?Sorry... i'm just confused..sincerely awaiting your response.special k

Five meetings per week, plus travel study and preparation time, service and assemblies - I'm thinking this adds up to around 500 - 600 hours per year. And, for those who go full time (pioneers, etc), you can add another thousand or so.Hardly a light load. More like a millstone.

Even as a witness, I would never have sat back and allowed my child or loved one die from lack of a blood transfusion.

Losing my child at my own hand, whether through shunning or denying them life-giving medical treatment? The very thought sends me into a panic.
