I was reading a post at JustJw's and came across the comment that JC meetings are now held at hotels or motel?? Must be special circumstance meetings, I guess....but the part that got me was that Barbara Andersons husband was NOT invited to the meeting????SINCE WHEN DO THE JC'S openly violate the "rules" of the bible??? The headship principle!! Since when is the husband not invited to the jc of his wife?? You know, she is his property according to them. When I requested a meeting separate from my husband, the answer was a resounding "no"!!!!!!

I wondered why Barbara Anderson's husband wasn't at her judicial committee myself since the elder's book says this: Pay Attention to Yourselves and to All the Flock" page 98
If the wrongdoer is a married woman, it would be best to meet with her and her believing husband. He is her head, and his efforts to restore her and direct her can be very helpful. |

Apparently, their hard and fast rules are a flexible as their flip flops on prophecies.Their rules on headship don't mean anything either. You are only considered the head of your house so long as you are a faithful dub following all the rules. After I DA'd, the now exwife moved to another congregation. The elders there knew I was DA'd and made no bones in telling her brats that I was not to be considered the head of the house nor did they have to listen to anything I said. So much for the Bible.Lew W

When my ex-wife was having judicial committee meetings for her adultery (on the basis of which she later divorced me), I was never asked by her or by the elders to attend the meetings. When my daughter was having a JC meeting for some teenage trouble a few years back, I was not invited to attend.I'm sure that if I had been active in the congregation, I would have been asked to be at both of those. I think you guys are right. The husband/father is only considered the head of the house as long as he is playing by Watchtower rules. Otherwise, the elders think that they are the head of the house.
