I was fortunate enough to have a very nice conversation with Barbara Grizutti Harrison a month or so before she died. She was the sweetest person one could imagine. She invited me to come to Manhattan and stay with her and also said she would send me a copy of each of her books. But she was very ill to the point of dying when I spoke with her and I'm sure she was just too sick to carry out that promise. Farkel
