	"Jehovah can protect his children or undo anything bad Satan does to them." This really ticks me off.  So when has God sent down a lightning bolt (or whatever) and fried a pedophile just in time?  It is so wrong to lie to children, especially about something as as serious as this.  Why put all the responsibility on saving a child onto God?  All that does is set the child up to blame God and vent tremendous anger onto God when he doesn't intervene.  It's not a question of if, it's when he doesn't.  And when God doesn't intervene, and the abuse happens again, and again, and again, the child experiences a cold side of God.  The anger becomes sadness and is turned inward.  Why me?  What is wrong with me?  The Society said God would help but he didn't so the fault must be with me.  Look at the amount of ancillary damage that is caused by some half-assed, poorly thought throw away line that sounds so easy and simple it can solve a tough problem.  But it can't.  This simple solution to a difficult problem causes more problems. Now none of this is about the role of spirituality in recovery from abuse.  That is a whole different topic.  My problem is when a bunch of lying, hypocritical, *#@$%!!!!!es try to get God to play the role of cop.  That's not only asinine, it is spiritually and emotionally criminal.
