  Barb A. (who by the way is the coolest person) has me doing some research that relates to the October, 8 and 22, 1985 Awake! magazines.

  I just read the following and, as a Worldly one, I just had to break out laughing. And I have to share this one line with you nice people. Most of you probably already know this but ....

  From the October 22, 1985 Awake!, Pages 8 to 11,"The UN-God's Way to Peace?", Section title - "The Only True Way to Peace", paragraph 2, last sentence, page 10:

  "Thus Jehovah's Witnesses reject as inadequate Satan's counterfeit solution - the UN."

  So not only is the UN the "image of the scarlet coloured wild beast" but has also been termed ....

  "Satan's counterfeit solution"

  Gee I wonder if the UN's Department of Public Information, who accredited the WTS in 1992 as an "associate" NGO with DPI, would like to know that they are part of a counterfeit ring!!!!.

  Gotta remember that classic sentence when I am discussing this Scandal.

  As the Farkel man has said over and over again - their published words just keep coming back to haunt them.

  Was it 91 or 92 that the watchtower joined?
  I ask this because in a letter I have from the British Bethal they say 91.
  I'll type the rest of the letter when i have time.

  They officially applied in 1991. The WTS had to officially write to DPI for an application and then DPI would send them an application.

  They were officially accredited by a DPI committee in 1992.

  Go look at the Hoeffel letter - also if you need to phone the UN or send an Email to the UN reference library - they will Email you the Hoeffel letter.

  These sites also have the official letter from Paul Gillies of the British Branch to the Guardian, the headquarters letters and other letters.

  BTW the WTS letters have lots of incorrect statements in them. This 1991 thing is but one. Even Gillies letter to the Guardian (Oct. 22, 01) called the WTS/UN thing a "membership" - it shows he didn't have clue one what he was talking about.

  I have one of these feelings that we here at jw.com know more about their "association" than they or even DPI staff do!!!!!

  I have seen all the documents; but I never see a signature. Where are the signed forms that prove the WT signed on the dotted line.
  If someone can find them please publish.

  I did read properly what you wrote - right????

  The DPI will not release the WTS file. Thus, at this time we will be able to see those documents.

  However they provided a WRITTEN and SIGNED letter (by Paul Hoeffel) confirming everything.

  Also there are the DPI directories etc...

  So there is no way to see the signed forms of the WT?

  There is another way.

  The registrationpapers that were submitted to the United Nations and that the Society has in her archives, contain no declarations which are in conflict with our christian beliefs

  In bold you read that the Society has these papers in her archives. Let them publish these archives.
