I noticed something I think is odd. I thought JWs worldwide always bragged that they are all in unison. That they are all on the same page. That lessons are the same in the US as it is in Zimwambe and everywhere else.
First of all there is the new thread about New policy for DA and DF which is coming from another area of the world. It was translated from another language. Will it start there first like a "testing ground"? are they using different countries for testing gounds for new policies before they reach other areas? And here is another one... "In our KM for May 2008 page 3. Under Announcements and last item: Quote: Please take note that there will be no special invitation handbill advertising the 2008 district convention. However, we are planning for a significant global campaign in the near future. Further details regarding that arrangement will be provided later. This announcement is in the UK KM, but not in the German KM for German or English congregations. Anyone know why? Or is this only for the British field? http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/157368/1.ashx
Does anyone wonder about the differences in WT actions from country to country? |

you have started this thread with a very old thread being added on your post.
It is same thing as reviving an old thread. |

Actually you don't have to roam far. In this area, one congregation body of elders forbids elders and MS to have mustaches. The one that shares the KH with them, has no such edict. The "same page" you refer to is doctrinally not necessarily procedurally.

The more things change...... I can remember years ago, one hall would say you could only wear white shirts on stage, and another would allow colored shirts. One would allow what was called in the seventies leisure suits, the next would not. Some would not allow women to wear red white and blue in any combo even though most color combos are on a flag some where. There is no unity or symmetry in the org. It is all smoke and mirrors. |

Doesn't Samuel F.Herd have a mustache?
*** be study 15 p. 133 par. 1 Good Personal Appearance *** In areas where mustaches are widely viewed as dignified, any who wear these should keep them neatly trimmed.
