In 1987 I wrote a detailed response to the "Question of Blood" booklet, showing how the author persistently misquoted and misrepresented authorities he was citing.

With the text now available in digital form, I went through the text of the QB booklet and extracted a raw list of the references, removing Mr Smalley's hyperbole and inaccuracies. When I looked at the list of cited references, I wondered how he was able to make so much out of them.

Unless, of course, his starting point was the conclusion he wanted to arrive at.

Doug, Can you post your thesis? Or provide a link?

    Thanks!

    garrybuss,

    My 1987 study is at:

I wrote that long before the www was a glint in our eyes and relied on writing to medical libraries and such. So I guess today it could be more comprehensive.

I can provide the file I created that contains the raw list of references, if you are interested. One of my intentions is to produce a study that comments on these references, but time seems to have a habit of slipping past so fast.
